Home Blessings Simmer Pot

It's a new year! As a practitioner focusing primarily on their household, I must cleanse, protect, and bring blessings to my space. It's a way to guarantee I start the new year off right.

This home blessings simmer pot is simple, smells incredible, and will ensure you are blessing your home with love, happiness, peace, and abundance.

Ingredients and Their Magickal Properties

The intention is important whenever performing spellwork; for me, this includes knowing and activating your ingredients to work in complement to your desired outcome. To achieve that, it’s essential to understand the magickal powers of each particular component. Therefore you can focus (hence activate) those properties during your ritual or spell.

Below is a list of each added ingredient and its special power for this recipe. Please note that this is not every magickal benefit of this plant or herb, just the areas I believe should be focused on for this specific recipe.

Oranges - happiness, love, prosperity, luck (you can see more details on orange magick in my post here)

Cedar - healing, purification, protection, protect against bad dreams

Cinnamon - spirituality, strength, passion, success, abundance

Rosemary - love, sleep/rest, peace, healing/youth, banishing

Recipe

To create a simmer pot, fill it with water (I like to use moon or sun water if I have it on hand), and add your ingredients.

*When adding your ingredients, remember to focus on the intention of the ingredient while working with it. (I.E., when adding the rosemary, focus on the intention of love, rest, and peace. Not just the idea, but how do they make you feel? How do having these things in your life manifest?

I also recommend using the intentional stirring and speaking method to add to this spell. Simply stir counterclockwise for energies that need to be removed and clockwise for energies that you wish to bring into your house while speaking your incantations (or intention) out loud.

For example, when adding cedar, I would stir counterclockwise three times while speaking to the pot.

Spirit of cedar, bless this house with cleansing and purifiation of unwanted energies.

Then, I would stir clockwise three times while focusing on activating the properties of the plant I wish to invoke into the house.

Spirit of cedar, bless this house with healing and protection. So mote it be.

Once all your ingredients have been added, turn it on low and let it simmer. Keep an eye on it and check on it to add water as necessary.
